SAGS sailing

A nice day out on the water, it was good to see a bit of sunshine after the wet weather of late. The winds were North Easterly at around 15 to 20knts easing later in the day. Twelve boats out, which was good considering we had a few regulars away contesting other events.

This was the second time around the new course with problems from the initial run now all sorted out. We, on Rimfire, were a bit reluctant to give it the tick of approval but after a good win i guess we are able to change our minds.’ ITS’a GOOD’.

A close call between Divine Madness on port tack and Carisma on starboard tack with the crew of Divine Madness unaware of Charisma’s approach. Apparently they passed quite close to each other but each continued on without any great drama.

The event was won by Rimfire with Zingara in second place followed by Carisma in third. Hopefully Tony and Dale will be back shortly and we will see Sentier and Catalina back in the fleet. Until next time GOOD SAILING.

Note, all boats that participated in the Kingfisher race 2, Dream, Page II, War Canoe and French Kiss get a minute off their times for next Saturday.
