Report from Marjorie and Tony on SENTIER for Wed 4th April

Wednesday’s forecast for 15 to 20 knots turned out to be an accurate one.

Wednesday morning started out wet and windy the forecast was 15 to 20 knots reaching 25 at times, this turned out to be accurate.

Only a few fronted up to the club there was not enough boats to make a race, then Merv  (RIMFIRE) rang to find out if anyone was going out, he said NICE TRY and RIMFIRE were headed out, so we decided to take SENTIER out to make it a mini race.

The first leg out to Deception Bay red turned out to be a little wild, Trevor on NICE TRY decided to return home, we kept on after RIMFIRE, the second leg to Caboolture River turned out to be a lot easier. We eventually caught RIMFIRE on the windward leg home. All in all it turned out to be an interesting day, strong winds at times but no rain.
