WAGS sailing

Thanks to Craig  of COMFORTABLY NUMB for the report from Wed 2nd May

‘It was a nice afternoon, and being the first Wednesday of the month it was also nice to sail out on the front course, 10 boats in total, all enjoying a pleasant south easterly breeze to cruise up and down the foreshore in.

One boat in particular, Endorphin tore up the course with a last to start and an impressive fly past the fleet, only our start time kept us in front of Endorphin, while we started at the right time as per the sheet, DMC reckoned we started 10 minutes earlier than we should’ve. Had us going for a minute. Any way good luck to John, Crew and Endorphin in the Bay to Bay Race this weekend.

Presentation back at the club, few cool bevies and a bit of a chat, DMC made the placing announcements with, About Time in third place, Endorphin in second place and us Comfortably Numb in first. As mentioned by DMC we had 6 monohulls in fourth place and seven hulls in 1st 2nd and 3rd.

There was also a reminder by Greg Hamilton about volunteering for upcoming sailing events, one being The Pearl Challenge over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of May, and a reminder about the roster for crews to be ready to assist with the Sailing Club Friday night raffles. (to be advised)

Cheers, and look forward to seeing everyone out again for SAGS to the South Cardinal off Bribie this Saturday.

Thanks to our sponsor Sunshine Boat Sales.
