WAGS sailing

Thanks to Bill off DIVINE MADNESS for this week’s WAGS report.

Fifteen boats sailed a starboard course on reasonably flat water, in a steady North easter of 10 -15 knots. Divine Madness lead the way, followed by Volando, Happy Daze and Tony in his new boat Gitana, wagging work to go wagging. Rounding the final mark first was Divine Madness pursued by Volando and the rest of the pack, too far back to identify. The run home was a colourful sight, with several boats airing their kites, the front runners taking a more conservative approach and poling out their genoas. With Tony establishing handicap for his new boat, third place went to Happy Daze in front of Seraya in the coveted fourth spot. Divine Madness, returning after a long vacation, managed to hold off Volando to take first place. Thanks to Sunshine Boat Sales for their generous sponsorship, the VB was cold and delicious.
