Today’s report courtesy of Allan.
8 boats (comprised of 14 hulls) set out in 20 plus knots NE on a starboard course in the Bay.
In starting order: Asgard, Nice Try, Double D, Grecher, Seraya, Catalina, Sentier and Endorfin.
Much favoured by the weather and the handicapper, Asgard led all the way and finished well clear of the rest of the fleet.
Catalina flew on the last downwind leg to pip Grecher into second.
Crews on the two tri’s Nice Try and Endorfin escaped the days heat with cooling salt water showers on the windward leg.
Hank on Seraya showed his true sailing devotee colours and raised the bar by going solo in the hard conditions.
1st ASGARD 2nd CATALINA 3rd GRECHER
Greg filled in for DMC and shook hands with Hank and himself as lucky wine winners for the day.
Thanks to our sensational sponsors, Sunshine Boat Sales and the MBBC.
And to Peter for continuing to do the start times even while on holiday.
