The Fairway Challenge
The Fairway Challenge is the signature offshore race of the Moreton Bay Boat Club Sailing Section.
The Fairway Challenge is actually the first section of the famous Brisbane to Gladstone race. This event is a very important regatta on the racing calendar as it is used by the serious racers as a ‘shakedown’ race or for those needing to qualify for the Brisbane to Gladstone Race.
Open to all boats that meet the safety criteria. Divisions will include PHS, IRC, ORCI, short handed yachts and Multihulls. The Fairway attracts many entrants looking to qualify for the Brisbane to Gladstone. This is an 80nm passage event starting at the front of the Redcliffe Jetty and travelling out to Caloundra and finish in the vicinity of the Moreton Bay Boat Club (MBBC).

Entry Lodgement and Closing Date
Hard copy entries must include the entry fee (or EFT confirmation); be enclosed within a sealed envelope and be forwarded by hand or mail to the Moreton Bay Boat Club by close of business on Wednesday 22 February 2017. Entries later than that date will incur a $20.00 late entry fee. Entries later than Friday 24th February 2017 cannot be accepted without hard evidence of exceptional circumstance or organizing authority error. Emailed entries will be accepted if prior payment arrangements are agreed between the entrant and the organizing authority.
