School Holiday Programs

School Holiday Sailing Camps run from 9am – 1pm each day and we supply morning tea and lunch each day. The week teaches the fundamentals of sailing and we aim to have the children confident enough by the end of the week to sail on their own. We follow Australian Sailing lessons plan and cover all the basics of sailing including how to rig, capsize, de-rigging, safety on the water etc.   We have a variety of boats for the children, depending on their age. The cost for the 5 day program is $275.

The children will start in Ozi –Opti boats, these are single sail boats that are very easy to manoeuvre. They will start the week off in pairs – however during the week we will get them sailing by themselves.

The only things that your children will need to bring is:

  • Hat
  • Drink bottle
  • Towel/ spare change of clothes
  • Shoes ( can either be reef shoes or an old pair of joggers)

Kid’s Birthday Parties

Adult Learn to Sail Course

The adult sailing course is a 5 week program held over consecutive Saturday, 3.5 hours each Saturday. The course covers the Start Sailing 1 & 2 criteria set by Australian Sailing. Each session contains some theory followed by on water practical.

The sailing sessions are run in 3.7m Vagabond dinghy’s which have 2 sails, we aim to have 2 people in the boat plus an instructor, however in the third week, participants aim to sail without an instructor.

The last week of the course is an opportunity to sail with the SAGS and WAGS sailors, which is social racing for large keel boats, catamarans, trailer sailors etc. This is a great chance to test your experience and help crew on these boats.

The next course starts TBA and the cost of the 5 week course is $245.
