Welcome to Social Sailing at Moreton Bay Boat Club (MBBC). Our Social Sailing events provide the perfect opportunity for sailors of all levels to enjoy a relaxed and friendly sailing experience while fostering a sense of community among our members.
Whether you’re an experienced sailor or new to the sport, our Social Sailing events offer a welcoming atmosphere where you can connect with fellow sailors, make new friends, and enjoy the thrill of being out on the water.
We offer two main Social Sailing events: Saturday Afternoon Good Sailing (SAGS) and Wednesday Afternoon Good Sailing (WAGS). These events are pursuit races with a handicap start, ensuring a fair and exciting competition for all participants. Each yacht is allocated a start time based on past performance, aiming to bring all yachts together at the finish line.
